That's my thread about Sebring from last week^ Brian will be at ZdayZ again this year and hopefully Tim Bell Racing will be joining, as well. ZdayZ falls on the same weekend as the World Challenge race in Mosport, Canada, and they are trying to rent out Brian's two Z's for that race but if they don't, I'm sure they will have their rig and cars out on display.

Cool Pics, They just Built a Big *** Plant here in Sumter SC. Also I just bought a used Cat-Back/Mid-Pipe Section & GT HAUS Exhaust. Should be here next week. Yay no more leaf blower Stock sound :O):driving:

Well, they didn't have a spot for me at the Nissan dealership so I went and spoke to the service manager at the Kia dealership just down the road (same corporation owns them). I start there on the 13th as a service adviser.

I can still transfer over to the Nissan dealership later once a spot opens up if I want to, though.

Also, anyone planning to drive up to Charlotte Saturday morning? I am planning to leave here around 6:30a or so. Cars & Coffee is from 8a-10a and then the Carolina Z Club is going to the (unnamed) Z race shop after that we talked about last weekend.

Congrats! Looks like I won't make it to Charlotte Saturday :shakes head:

Something is better than nothing, congrats on getting back into the fray and hopefully soon you can get to where you want to be. Wish I could go Saturday but I can't make it.

Is it okay if I bring the Z into your Kia dealership for service? They use the same oil supplier?

Yes and yes. I'll have to check and see if they have the recommended ester oil but most people don't use that anyway. I'm sure their regular and synthetic supplier is the same.

Honestly, I'd still say go to the Nissan dealership. For warranty reasons and what not, you'd probably be better off to do that instead. Let me get in there and see what they have to say. It's hard to turn away work but it may be better in the long run to take it to the Nissan instead. Hopefully a position will open up there later on and I can transfer over.

There's always the DIY route too if you want to save 45 minutes :driving: I usually photocopy my oil receipts and write the date and miles when I actually do the change.

I should have expected the only other Silver Z around Pelham would be you Brandon. Also, I don't want any loopholes for Nissan to be able to jump through, so I will just get it serviced at a Nissan dealer.

Hah, yea. I had to get out of the house and go grab some lunch. Time for you to open your exhaust up some :stirthepot:

No cars and coffee for me. My "honey do" list needs some attention. I have to replace a pump in the hot tub. No fun there :-)

I'm doing the same thing. Just did my first oil change last weekend and used Mobil 1.

phantom370z 04-03-2015 01:43 PM

The only way you'll give Nissan a loophole by changing your own oil is if you screw up and/or don't read your warranty/manual very well.

The fun of fixing a hot tub comes after the fixing is over
