Just moved to Charleston about month ago. About to pull the trigger on a new Z tomorrow. Can't wait. Glad to see there are other Z dudes here, but I haven't seen a whole lot.

Thanks ClemsonWill. Delivery tomorrow, as long as all is well. Do you know of any good drives around here? Like what's Francis Marion Forest like? I need to get past the 1200 mi break in, and I was thinking this is the perfect chance to find a sweet road to cruise.

And it's White, base, sport package. Actually didn't wanna buy it just yet, but my '94 300zx gave me a check engine light yesterday and the engine was rocking pretty hard in the mounts. At 161,000 miles I'm using it as an excuse to get a new one early. I'm excited!

Its a bit of a ways up but if you are ever headed to Due West or Laurens, SC 252 is an awesome stretch of road that links them. Great curves, a little hill here and there, ran it a few times and have yet to see any sign of legal confrontation (if you catch my drift...but don't hold me to it ) but I am usually on it around dusk hours. Problem is, the good bit is only about 15 miles long and is 3 hours away from Charleston. Sorry, I know this doesn't really help haha, but if you are ever in that area, that's the best part of my ride to Due West, and it is pretty profound.

no idea, but it would seem like a place to do it... also, what was the deal with the cops around charleston, goose creek and summerville today? I was there around 2 and they were everywhere. undercover, unmarked cars, always at least 2 officers per car and all wearing bullet-proof vests... is presidents' day know for its erratically-driving, gun toting high-schoolers? and they were all up and down 26, 95 and even the back roads between summerton and paxville... statewide "crackdown?" I didn't see anymore people on the road than on a usual sunday. I actually realized that I love hoopties on these days, they save me the trouble of having to figure out if they are an undercover cop of not. just curious...

They have been really bad in this area for the last few weeks. I went through a license check about a week ago. It was the middle of the day on a back road. WTF I have the most respect for law enforcement but this police officer was the biggest d1ck. He harassed me about my radar detector and nitrogen in my tires. It was just bs. I wasn't doing anything wrong.

Very nice! I've only been up to Francis Marion a couple times when I was younger. But I don't remember it being all that exciting. Mostly pine trees. My suggestion would be riding out to Edisto Island. It's a really nice scenic drive.

Which dealership are you going through?

I have been talking to another local Z owner. We are going to meet up sometime in the next few weeks. You should definitely join us.

I got mine at Morris as well. Don't give up on haggling with them. I spent almost 4 hours talking price with them. They eventually came down to my price which still wasn't the best price I've seen on here.

Yeah, I was satisfied with the price. Probably could have stuck it out a little more, but I need a car ASAP. Now I need that delivery to hurry up so I can drive!

Still waiting. He said 90-95% sure it will come today. I took that as him meaning "It's coming on Thursday, just don't get mad if by some off chance it doesn't." I'm not driving it off the lot in the dark though.

they just posted on the clemson forum that first time autox'ers can come saturday and register on site for $20 (normally $35 for non-members). this is a big incentive! come out and give it a shot!
