Meh, some people shuffle steer, some people hand-over-hand, some people never move their hands (me). I've seen equally fast drivers do any number of different things with their hands all get the job...

Try mounting the camera more forward so you can see out the windshield better. Seeing the driver inputs is nice but less important than lines and car placement in my opinion.

OEM brakes (pads, rotors, lines) work great for autox IMO. An oil cooler is not necessary, if the temps start getting too high crank the heat on defrost and open the hood between runs.

This really isn't true at least for auto-x compounds. Almost every street tire save maybe toyos are more heat tolerant than A6's.

Some people use chalk on the sidewall of the tire to see how much the outside shoulder of the tire is touching the ground. It's a simple way of making sure you're not running WAY too low pressure...

I use crap pads on the front of my STS miata for that very reason, it seems to work pretty well. It also has the added benefit of more pedal modulation before lock-up.

Look at my raw times, I coned away 2nd. The car, atleast ours, is plenty developed and plenty capable of winning it we just did not drive up the that level this year.
