Amsoil is a GOOD oil, not the best like their pyramid marketing likes to suggest. Just remember only the signature series is a group 4 oil, the rest is group 3 or 3/4 blend. This is not ester.

I would change it in 100 miles, then 1000. Do this to get any dirt or crud that may have gotten into the engine when it was open and they were working on it.

I am in no way saying to rely on wax alone. But to polish every single time is unnecessary. Granted this will be different for every car and what it sees. But wax (synthetic or caranuba) does wonders...
