With the Homelink mirror, it seems a lot easier just to use invisicord. It was $15 and took less then 15 minutes to install. Is there a downside to using invisicord over hardwiring?

Pretty cool but I agree that it is a lame way to measure the longest drift.

I would not have cut away on some of the transitions either since it lessens the validation of authenticity.

It will greatly depend on how long you keep before selling. If you unloaded in 2yrs there will be a pretty big difference. Over time that will shrink considerably due to the +/- of mileage...

Did 1st mod today (well, kind of a mod). Mounted the radar detector using a mirror mount and invisicord. Easy 15 minute install. Looks great and much, much easier then hardwiring.
