Does anyone know where in the flow the Z gets its oil temp reading? Big difference from engine exit to return after the cooler.

Mine will hit 200+ during city driving but the OP question was cruise and boost.

Yes, the oil needs to get to ~200 to burn off any moisture but it doesn't need to stay there.

Depends on if you have an oil cooler or not....

Depends on if you have an oil cooler or not. Steady cruise (70-80) I would see 190-200 with out oil cooler and 180-190 with oil cooler (I use a thermostatic plate).

Boosted runs without oil cooler...
