The m6 transmissions have held up under boost better than the 7at. You might want to look into and aftermarket clutch and csc but that modification is a lot less than the four grand the 7at guys...

I currently have long tube headers, before that I had GTM unresonated test pipes. The fumes aren't that bad, I only caught a whiff upon startup and when sitting at long lights.
