You can actually pre-cut the wire on the harness and dress it appropriately. Just don't disconnect the stock harness connector until the car is in ACC mode and then plug it in.

I agree, it was very easy to just put a twist and a loop in the wire and it stayed well out of the way. If it was much shorter I think it could get quite awkward given how tight the OEM harness is...

With Fritz's fix the "state" signal to the BCM should still exist since that is a passive signal that loops through the lock through the contact closure switches. I don't foresee any BCM/IPDM...
