You got me confused. :confused: The thermostat is before the radiator, not after. So if the sensor is on the thermostat housing or the upper hose. It will take the reading before the rad. Not after...

Talking Alot of race motors don't use a thermostat....

Alot of race motors don't use a thermostat. Instead, they use an orfice plate. Change the diameter of the orfice, and you change the temperature of the motor. Food for thought. ;)
