I use my 7000 on my Z and my truck. It is thicker, bigger and heavier than the 5000 but the ability to use it on my other vehicles with confidence is awesome!

No, that is the added height that you need from the other materials. The pinch weld blocks actually do not touch the side sills the way I lift mine. Probably have 3/8 - 1/2" of clearance.

It depends on what model you are looking at getting.
Take a look at their measuring guide. It helped me. Also, feel free to call them. They were helpful over the phone too....

Not sure how thick my garage concrete slab is. They say that the flush mounted anchors need 4" of concrete. Not sure how thick mine is.
