I’m with you. I see the intake as a bonus because you no longer have to drop the turbo to change a filter. That alone is worth the price of admission.

Not all the V2 had the larger inlet, it just depended on if you got the ported compressor cover or not. I upgraded my V1 kit for the cold side piping, so I have basically a V1.5.

I think that’s the difference right there. I have the original P6266 turbo, smaller filter. I assume that Comp has the ported compressor cover requiring that big *** filter.

I’ve never had an issue with mine. Factory headers are pretty shielded and I bagged the turbo.

Also will this only work on the most recent turbos or can you provided it with a coupler that fits the original...
