What do you mean by "rev"? If you could take it...

What do you mean by "rev"? If you could take it to the redline, it sounds like a drivetrain problem (probably the clutch/CSC). If RPM stayed below 3500 or so, my guess is still one of the pedal...

When the brake or clutch pedals are pressed enough to make the switches, the ECM will limit engine output.
