Yeah the inner diameter is smaller on the newer one, my mechanic suggested that we shave it a little to fit, maybe this is the route to go for, thanks Martijn.

I pulled the trigger on new synchro for my trans, I bought them as was listed in this thread, and they are the same listed in Conceptz and z1 websites...
