Thanks. Yes it is an orange wire that goes from the foglight to the BCM. By snipping it at the junction of the tail light loom, it takes that wire out of the BCM circuit and you can easily hook it up...

The picture shows the rear sub harness and the drivers side brake/tail light harness. It's a bit cramped for space, but it's better than adding a whole new harness to the car!

I tried tapping in to the brake circuit and it blew the fuse. I tapped into the green wire of the brake light circuit

Great info.. thank you. That is pricey for a switch and I do want it to work as a brake light. I would consider a used switch but not a new one if I went that route.

That's because it's disconnected on the other end...

That's because it's disconnected on the other end by the steering wheel. I'm trying to determine if I can use the existing wire loom to cut and tap into the left tail light.
