You may have to get out a DVOM & ck continuity in your cables.....watch for a spark when hooking ground lead back up/as something could be shorting or drawing too many amps.

a loose or poor ground would backfeed & potentially cause this. Disconnect ground from battery & ensure all of you + connections are good....then before re-connecting - to battery,,,inspect other end...

Add additional ground leads from battery to engine,transmission & firewall...can’t have too much ground....also check connection at starter (where you clocked the connection) for the BP kit. You...
