I think most Factory FI cars are tuned that way, especially the more 'civilian' ones. My good friend has a 2010 GTI 6MT and his peak torque comes in at 1700rpm and is pretty flat through 5000 or so....

True. It's all preference. I would rather a factory turbo engine. After being around the Forced Induction crowd, I'm ready to join. To me, the bang for the buck factor is factory FI. Lag is all about...

However the v8 people are suggesting is Nissan's VK45/VK56. A little different than the E92 M3.

Also why have an NA v8 when you can have a TT 6cyl. I don't see F82 M4 owners wishing they had a v8...

Yeah, the VQ isn't a lightweight. Going by the rumors, it doesn't seem like the next Z will have one. I would love an all new aluminum 3.0TT. Just my preference, but I'd rather a factory turbo than...

I wouldn't want a v8 Z, especially the vk, that make it more front heavy. I'd rather see a smaller displacement twin turbo v6.

No it's obvious you know nothing about those cars. Then you go on to compare specs with a 4cyl? Good job. Lastly, I did read your comments, can you read? I said stock for stock it can't keep up. So...

If your going to be techinical, you said 'a Z' last I checked 'a Z' didn't equal 370z only. You should clarify your blanket statements.

Secondly a 2015 altima v6 is 270hp but paired with a CVT....

Not necessarily. Altimas (6mt) are just as quick as a 350z (non hr) especially an 07+ Altima (revised 2nd gen vq35de with a much better top end). I agree, against a 370z it cannot hang, but with a...

If this is true, then the GTR should be going way up market, leaving plenty of room for the Z to grow. Come on Nissan, two home runs are better than one!

This is true. My second dream is that they go back to the Z32 days and offer two engines. An NA model to keep costs down for those looking for a quick, affordable sports car, then a decked out Turbo...

I'd rather Nissan push the Z upmarket instead of trying to keep the Z cheap. There's a nice slot in the $40-$60k range that won't impact the GTR. Nissan needs to give the Z the attention and...

While I'm not completely sold on the hybrid drive trains in sports cars yet (love the instant torque concept just concerned about reliability) 350hp and 3000lbs excites me. I hope they keep it close...

I would like to see the Z35 drop in weight with a 3.0T, however I doubt Nissan will do that. I know there's been talk about a turbo I4 as well, but I see Nissan, being Nissan and retaining the VQ37...
