A noob in photography. I thought I'll be able to find enough time to really dabble in photography but never did.

Inside my bag (at least what I can remember):

Nikon D90
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
Nikkor 18-200mm VR (first version)
Nikkor 12-24mm f/4
Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control
Hoya CPL 72mm
Hoya CPL 77mm

and other misc items

Momo50 02-26-2012 09:59 PM

My Bag:
Nikon D700
Nikon D300
Canon G12
Lenses: 11-18mm, 60mm macro, 50mm 1.4, 24-124 zoom, 70-300mm zoom.
I still have a great bag of 35mm stuff too, two Nikon FA's with motordrives, and many Nikkor lenses. My Vehicle plate is "ISO 3200" which is the fastest ISO on my D300. D700 gose up to ISO 6400, but I didn't have it when I got the plate (no one did) and it's a sexier number anyway.

Okay i'll bite...

Canon EOS 450D - XSI
  • EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
  • EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS
  • EF 50mm f/1.4
  • 58mm Circular Polarizer - Hoya
  • 58mm UV Filter - Hoya

Any suggestions for possibly upgrading? I'm sort of at a loss as to what's next. Or maybe that's a good sign to stop ;)

He's probably come to the realization that you don't need to spend tons of $$$ to achieve truly great photos.

The lens cost me $25 more than the body alone... no brainer

I am actually quite impressed with the basic lenses. I really do miss my Zeiss and Leicaflex lenses, not to mention my old Mamiyas.... but those days are gone for me!
