There's actually that very setup for shooting products at TIGI's headquarters in Dallas. I call it "The Other Bed Head Studio", not to be confused with the Bed Head Studio in London where the models are shot for campaigns.

I love Bed Head...

Both the literal and the hair product, just to be clear.

Yes, very nice indeed!

That sucks about Tim Bell and his car crash, glad he was alright. it's crazy that race safety has come so far that he could slam a wall at over 100mph and walk away.

Zdayz 2014!!

Boost_lee 10-02-2014 06:29 PM

Thanks everyone :D
It's been a while since I picked up a camera. I borrowed a friend's 70d and really liked it. If I had better lenses I would have really enjoyed the event, but all were shot with a nifty 250 and a Sigma 10-22

Yes the Tim Bell incident was scary. I believe he said his logs showed the car at 139mph at impact. He was over 150 when he lost his brakes I think.

Awesome shots of the Vipers! And the ladies of course...

Took some night shots at a local beach in sw ct. It is hard to get a good focus, this is on a Nikon d3200. Still learning how to use everything.

Pintsize725 10-25-2014 10:49 PM

I've determined that I need Lightroom. Also, I really need to get off my *** and rent that 100mm L macro lens.

That is all.

Here are a few of my latest attempts at something good. Sorry if the white balance or colors are off, I'm working on a very outdated laptop.

Washington surprised me with a clear afternoon on a day when it was raining all morning and managed to catch the solar eclipse last week.

This little guy has been so hard to get pics of. He's soooo fast and his coat never turns out very detailed. I cranked up the shutter speed, overexposed the shots a little and shot with the sun to my back on these and they finally turned out ok...

There are my two favorites from last night. One is from a bridge downtown, obviously, that had some "gateway" lights installed. Most of us call it a dinosaur bridge.
The other is from a light display event at Waller Creek Tunnel.

Nice perspective in those shots! What is that in the second shot?

I'm so excited, got a new Canon 5D Mark III coming in the mail Wednesday, a Canon 28mm F1.8 being delivered hopefully next week, and this morning I'm going to pick-up a slightly used Canon 70-200 F4 IS! Game on!

Anyone used that 28mm F1.8? The thing is pretty incredible.

You'll like the 70-200. I had the non-IS and it was an amazing lens for being so cheap. (Although mine was free because my brother gave it to me).

I got the lens Saturday and used it a little bit on my 7D, holy cow! By far the best lens I've ever used. I was blown away by the IS on that thing. My other lenses with IS are nothing like this one. And its razor sharp at f4.

I had the non-IS version and I shot this a few years ago when I was starting to learn.
