Amazon.com: Polaroid IR720 72mm Infrared X-Ray Filter: Camera & Photo
Ordered this just to see if the film infrared can be duplicated in any way...the photoshop doesnt look like true infrared. I'll let you guys know what i think of t  |
I got that filter a few weeks ago, just havent used it yet, to many lens problems.
BTW, I exchanged the 85mm 1.8 lens for another that will arrive tuesday. Hopefully it will be better. Canon wanted me to pay shipping for the warranty repair, so I said heck no and opted to use my return policy instead in hopes it was just a bad batch. Also heavily weighing dropping some cash on a 7D :) |

On another note, I bought a set of Hoya filters to replace my cheap polarizer and ND filter. |

The Polaroid IR was 1/4 the cost of the Hoya. If it works I will upgrade to the Hoya but I am not expectin anythign spectacular...sure do wish winter would go on it's grumpy way.:shakes head: |
My son Colin shot this at my Dad's memorial service last weekend:

85 1.8 is all I use besides my 18-55. The 85 is front focusing on me a bit, but so has every other lens I put on my current t2i... weak sauce. So we'll see what happens, been wanting a 7D for a long time and hopefully it was my t2i that was out of calibration. If not, a simple lens cal on the camera will do the trick. Plus, the silent shooting mode on the 7D for my external flashes + live view + my nexus tablet + dslr controller = awesome! Can't wait to do that!

They are both great lenses and very versatile. |

I might eventually upgrade my EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM to the f/2.8 version that onzedge has. You'll be first to know this time! :tiphat: |

Got my 7D the other day, going out for the first time tonight with it! Can't wait!

You'll love how stupid fast the shutter is if you're shooting action. Having switched to a 5D MkII, I kind of miss the different focus zones and other things you can customize on the 7D. |
Is the cross point AF better than single point from your experience?

I don't have any concrete examples of where one is better than the other... just the "on paper" data. One of the focus point settings I really liked for the 7D was where you could select one point as your main focus point, but it would also give consideration to the adjacent points. |
Had great success tonight with the new camera! It was definitely a worthy upgrade over my old, worn t2i. I'll post some shots later on.

Here are some shots with the 7D w/ 85mm 1.8! God I love this camera! The first 4 shots are in a sequence:

Nice work!
I'm torn between a 7D and the 5Dmkii... |
