go easy on those bro... let the picture stand for itself, not what effects can be piled on it. the picture would be fine as it was straight out of the camera probably. the only "effects" that i've seen that work well are high dollar photoshop actions that have to be bought at great expense.

How much of an interest does she have in photography? I would probably suggest something like the 18-105. I would like to have an 85mm, but I know I wouldn't use it enough... I need to rent one one day though.. But anyways, that would give her a good walk around lens so that she doesn't have to lug around extra lenses and such. |
