So here's my effort. Last year we had to survey two dams in the remote Desolation Wilderness. We helicoptered in to the boundary line of the Wilderness, then we carried our survey equipment 2.5 miles over rocky terrain to Rubicon Lake. The government only allows us 6 overflights of the wilderness area per year so we had to hoof it. Lot's of fun. (I'm taking the picture. The guy on the right works for me. The other two work for the hydro maintenance division. (these pix were taken with my iPhone 4)
