My real job is offering a bunch of overtime the next couple of months...not looking to spend all my time at work then to come home to work on handles. Also have all my equipment sitting out...not getting enough orders to justify cluttering up my little condo lol.

I'm glad I decided to jump in when I did! I knew I wanted to get it done, but it was never a priority. Best of luck with the OT. Hopefully you'll be back at it, once things calm down for you.

Thanks! Looks like your handles are being delivered tomorrow...definitely post up pictures if you get the chance. :tip hat:

Chances are slim that I'll get back into it though since I will be tearing down my makeshift spray booth.

Hope you still have this in about a month. I need to get back to CONUS first though.

Is removing the door handles pretty easy? I guess the core exchange has been the one thing holding me up.

Very easy. Behind two rubber caps in the door are three 10mm bolts on the drivers side, 2 on the passenger. With those removed the handles slide right out. The door mechanics are connected with simple cable mechanisms that pop out easily. The door lock buttons are held in place by a bracket with two screws. I found this to be the most difficult part as the screws are held in with Loctite and strip easily.

You will want to take measures to avoid dropping the screws into the door frame. They can be a PITA to retrieve.

It's pretty straight forward, but definitely take extra care not to drop the screws into the door shell. The driver side door handle takes a bit of fidgeting to get back on due to the lock cylinder.

Guys, I can also send you your core with the cable/lock button fully assembled so you won't have to mess with those tight screws and it'll pretty much be plug and play. But I find it easier to remove the screws than to fit my hand into the door shell to unplug it. Let me know if you'd prefer this on your order.

I just installed my solid red handles from equalme and they are perfect. I am very picky and am very impressed by his work. I really hope he has done well with this offering because the quality of his work deserves it. I cold not be happier!

Six weeks of dust on the body and freshly painted handles so it doesn't look as good as it will.

Got my handles on too. Love them! I'll try to get a shot further back when my car is out of the garage.
