nope. pretty easy and straight forward. I used these to make it easier and reliable: Posi-Tap- No Crimp Tap. I tapped them to the heated seats switch wiring harness so that they only turn on when the headlights are on, regardless of switch being on or off. you can also run it to the fuse box and tap to the fuse if you want full control of the lights with these: Cooper Bussmann/ATM fuse tap (BP-HHH-RP) | Fuse and Accessories | AutoZone.com
