Oh no bud... I've had these same HFC's on my Z for quite a few miles now and there hasnt been one CEL tripped. They do smell a little more than stock, but not nearly as bad as the test pipes I had. I can't say enough about these HFC's. They make a world of difference in airflow and sound. Very Very solid investment and I promise you wont be disappointed
