It looks like FI exhaust are popular right now. What setup did you order? Just the catback? I'm plan to stick with the stock cats, don't want to go get too loud.

I went with the non-res and love it! It's gotten a bit quieter since its broken in but definitely still loud. I wish it was louder but at the same time quieter for highway cruising (only because my passengers aren't the biggest fan of extra noise). I love noise all the time!

I was thinking about selling mine and upgrading to the bigger fast intentions exhaust the 3"version if u are interested i have f.i. With carbon fiber mufflers and 18" resonators im looking for 1,400. But heres the catch i wouldnt b able to ship it till the other one comes in. And it only has 2,000 miles on it. But idk if i want to do that but the offer is on the table

^That sound tempting but I plan on keeping the stock cat so I don't think the 18" resonators are recommended per the FI website.

I'm looking for something cheaper than $1400. I don't even know if that is possible with how popular this exhaust is right now. I'm not in a rush so maybe I'll get lucky.

What's the difference between 18" or 12" resonators?

One is quieter than the other. Not in deepness or anything but the actual decibal level is quiter not the pitch or tone of the exhaust. Difference in straight pipes and a stock exhaust except on a much smaller level

Where does FI discourage the 18" with stock cat? I'm running that now and haven't had any issues thus far, but I did just get it installed Saturday. The 18" sounds amazing both inside and outside the Z.

Edit: Before I purchased the 18" I was considering a 12". A lot of forum members who run FI let me know that Tony recommends starting quieter. It's easier to go louder then to try to change down to an 18". Just something to think about if you are on the fence about sound.

I actually would prefer the 18" resonators as I am looking for a deep sounding exhaust that won't give me a headache while on the highway. My previous car had a race header and 2.5" exhaust piping and the drone got to me sometimes.

I saw the recommendation for 12" resonators for folks that will be using stock cats either in the Fast Intentions thread or website. I looked through both again but can't find it now.

From the sound of it, the 18" resonators fit with the stock cat. I wonder what the "drone" difference is between the 12" and 18" on stock cats.

Even at 18", the noise might give you a headache after a while. It's definitely a lot louder than I was expecting, but still sounds great. Good luck finding a deal!

I was worried about the drone but for me the drone went away after a few hundred miles and i dont even feel like its loud anymore even though i know it is. But i can still use blue tooth and listen to music and people hear me just fine.
