Well, if the cat back hasn't sold by next Monday I'll buy it from you. At the moment I enjoy beating people with a stock 370z. They don't need to

Car is pretty impressive for so little mods.
I ran a 5.0 and was neck and neck, I think he needed the driver mod.

It might feel that way, but that isn't the case.
The 5.0 generally traps 108-110 stock. That's hardly much faster than a modded 370.

I'm sure it also depends on if you have the optional gears I guess, because the really fast ones have the 3.73's.

The VQ is the complete opposite of the 5.0 as far as power delivery goes, so the lack of a strong torque surge throws most people off. With mods and tuning the 5.0 will destroy a 370z without nitrous or forced induction, but a stock 5.0 is really not out of a 370z's league.

Anyhow, I don't call a car that heavy with only 420 hp a monster, lol...

It's only a little over 300 lbs heaver... easily fixed by losing the spare & miscellaneous filler parts. And a car that's low 30K with 400+ is rare... feel free to name some. The Mustang is a winner all the way around this year.

Yeah I test drove one at the same time as my Z.

I'm not saying it's not fast, because it definitely is.
Just that stock it just isn't like this crazy *** fast car, though I guess that's all perspective.

I also have a 400+ whp 50 trim 944 turbo that traps 120+, so it's all relative.
Sure the 5.0's motor was absolutely bad *** along with the tranny, which is something I'm not crazy about on the 370z, but I just didn't care for the rest of the car.
And while it was fast, it wasn't "wow" fast.
Maybe with some mods it would be.

Just seems like everyone goes all ga-ga eyed over the "flavor of the month car" and I'm not always into that sorta stuff.

I know that made me sound like a douche bag that is putting the 5.0 down, but I'm not. Just putting it back in perspective. For the price it's unbeatable in a straight line, true, but honestly straight line is boring so that doesn't cut it for me.

Anyways, forums are meant for discussing right?

I do want your exhaust however. Just waiting on my paycheck.
