I didn't know that you could do that. If it's true, I will see if my Z is still at the tow yard and try to get it back. But I'm not going to hold my breath because it was scheduled to be "disposed of" on Monday.
As for a new ride, I just bought an octane blue pearl '08 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X GSR. I will post up some pics soon (after I wash/wax/clay bar it of course). Style-wise inside and out, it doesn't compare to the Z and I would rather have my Z back. Having said that, it sure is a nice ride, and I bet its all-wheel-drive chassis, Brembo brakes and modest 2.0L I4 MIVEC turbo-charged engine would give the Z a run for its money.  But before anyone gets his panties in a knot, I did say I would rather have my Z back.
