The ECT2000 is an automotive electronics tool designed to locate short & open circuits. The ECT2000 detects and alerts to a short or open circuit. You can also wiggle and flex wires or connectors to detect intermittent circuit conditions. The "SMART" Receiver's Sensitivity Adjustment keeps you on the right circuit and ignores the unnecessary weaker signals. Shows you the direction to the short circuit.

Yep they work pretty good! I found a short that I had a problem with in my old Corvette....
