Test drove new mustang gt
First off im a hug v8 fan, I drove trans ams for a long time before the Z, I loved the torque and hp of the mustang, but couldn't get over the crappy interior and lack of rev match on manual and HUGE font end, feels like driving a truck, overall I like my 09 Z better.

The Rev Match is awesome, but I can't ding cars for not having it. |
Well "duh" you drove a "SLOW-STANG" lol

It's just an everyday car, you see them everywhere and unless you mod the hell out of it, there pretty boring, fast as hell, but visually tainted unless your just gunning to get a Mustang and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but if you start comparing them to others with anything other than speed in mind, you probably won't get one. I looked at one along with a Camaro SS, but I already have a SRT8 and I was like OH Hell No, I need something with a different feel and my Nismo has given me all that and then some :)

in Nor Cali last week and was excited to see what the hype was about with the new 2015 Mustang. I pulled up in my 2010 Nismo and the shoppers and car sales men headed straight over to take a look at my Nismo. A few even took photos of my Nismo. The new body style Mustang did nothing for me and the fit and finish was all Ford. Be glad ladies and gentlemen we bought a true sports car that is still in style... -Clifford |

Talk all the **** you want, a Mustang will destroy your Z in a drag race or (with minimal mods) around a track.
Everyone wants to compare imports to muscle cars because back in the 90's i4 and v6 imports were faster than domestic v8's. Those "Fast and Furious" days are over though. |
Common as dirt
Mustangs too common. Seems like every third car you see on the road is a Mustang! The Z is better looking IMO and a head turner because you just don't see a lot of them. I live in a major city and own a bright red 370z coupe and have yet to see another one on the road in that color. I'm sure they are around, but uncommon. That's the point.
Also, the Mustang may be a bit faster, until you throw in some twistst and turns and then the Z is going to own it. |

I drove a new 2012 before I drove my 2010 Nismo, I went home with the Nismo. There is no comparison if you want a drivers car and if you add a couple of twin snails you can run with anyone...straights or twisteez! :stirthepot: |

Here is the deal...there is no way the Z, boosted are not is going to run with a pony car that is boost or of equivalent power from a standing start...the Z is not made that way, but from a roll I can run with the best of them and have left plenty of them wanting. There is always someone faster, but I'm with brother Clifford anytime I go to a dealership, including Nissan everyone comes out stares at my girl regardless of the Vetts, GTR's or Mustangs on the lot. The best compliment I ever got while at a dealership (Nissan) was when I got an alignment after dropping Nismo on coil overs! They had the car on the lift as high as it would go and all the techs and suits were under it admiring the turbo and exhaust setup and a gentleman in the waiting lounge ask another customer about how long he had been waiting and he said "Everything was moving quickly until that sports car showed up...I hope they get back to work soon!" I just smiled and nodded.
I am a Mustang fan, but I love the older models...to each their own. Love the one your are with and those you want to be with. :tiphat: |

I drive Mustangs on a regular basis at the Ford dealership I work at since I'm an apprentice. The fit and finish on the Mustangs are not the best. The build materials are cheap in my opinion and that's not to say the Z doesn't have any. It feels like you're driving a tank when you're in a Mustang as well. The 5.0's are great motors which produce horsepower power and torque. The 2015's got a boost in power as well.
As for the V6 Mustangs, they are blah in most category's. The new I4 Mustang is something that catches my eye. It puts out over three hundred horsepower and three hundred foot pounds of torque. |

IMO one of the top 5 best looking cars of all time is the 1967 GT350 Mustang. If I had lots of $$ I'd do a full resto-mod with coil-overs and a blown Coyote 5.0.:excited: |
There is no replacement for displacement no matter what anyone says, but 370z > Mustang.

Bought one on Saturday since the 370z will no longer be my daily driver as its going through a hardcore HP transformation. The GT's turbo project will start after I get further along with the Z. I dont want both the cars too far apart from running at the same time.
Those of you who think this car is ugly, or has a crappy interior... youre either nuts or you havent seen/driven the 2015. I got the black leather recaros and they are one of if not thee nicest car seats I have ever sat in. The interior is every bit as nice as my 370z, and the electronics and connectivity package in the mustang blows my Z out of the water.. theres no comparison there. But hey, its 6 years newer also. Its also got these awesome like 15" 6 piston brembos in the front that are pretty nice. I could ramble for a good hour about the features this car has that my Z does not. But I am just being defensive about my new car here. I love my Z every bit as much, and the things it doesnt have, it doesnt need... and it does other things as well or better without. No matter all the things my Mustang has.. A 2015 Mustang GT is NO replacement for a 370z. No way, no how. You simply must have both. I have no idea how i could possibly live without either of them now. My springs will be here hopefully tomorrow so this thing can come in for landing. |
So, do you want Kate Upton, or Peg Bundy who can run a 4.2 40?

I can't comment on launching yet... 22 degrees out and wheel-hop city. Probably put 20,000 miles worth if wear on my axles and differential/mounts in the last 500 miles trying to drive the car hard with summer tires in cold weather. I actually just put it away for a little bit because I'm getting frustrated not being able to drive it all out right now.

I must admit the interior of the 2015 mustang is a big improvement from the "Fisher Price" plastics of the previous model.
Finally even the chevy's interiors has come to life and worth the accolades. I guess the bankruptcy has taught them a lot of lessons. |

I've never been a Mustang fan, but there is no denying how fast they are.. especially the 2015's. With DR's, exhaust, CAI, some suspension work and some small weight reduction, this one ran a 11.2 @ 121mph. Lol, looks like after a few runs they already need a new clutch! Whatever it was they got the car fixed and recently ran a 10.6 all motor.

^ Bravo to the American muscle car but the world is not "Straight" as we know it!
Then there comes the Z who discovered the world is full of curves and its round! -Christopher Colombus |
I know how we can settle this.
370Z Coyote swap anyone?:eekdance: |
