Process variance costs money, and causes confusion. Plus, itemize out the cost of those things (ie, paint, interior, whatever) and they cost the manufacturer very little.

while this is true, they will already be offering this variant other places, I don't see it costing them much more... aside from rebadging the toyotas to scions
