No idea on the price of a S15 new though, so that may torpedo my comparison altogether.:ugh2: |

(according to the converter here: Inflation Calculator: Money’s Real Worth Over Time | Coin News) In contrast, the MSRP of a 2006 300ZX was 37,439 which would make it a 70K car today. |

EDIt: and there was no 2006 300zx, I think you meant 1996 and your calculator puts it at 54K. which isn't bad for a twin turbo. |

25.6k makes sense. The 240sx weighed about the same as the BRZ but only put out 155hp stock. |

The BR-Z / FR-S look good as long as there's no giant wing attached to the rear of it. Power wise there's no problem because I don't race my daily drivers for a living like some apparently do surprisingly..
As long as its as fun to drive as the reviews say it is it should be good to go despite some folks obsession with numbers. For people who want to void their new car warranties right off the bat with all kinds of mods there are better choices obviously. The BR-Z / FR-S appear to be designed for people who love to drive vs. for those with specific HP, 1/4 mile goals, etc. As an out of the box entry level RWD sports car it appears they hit it out of the park with the BR-Z / FR-S unless of course you're a numbers person. |
the STI BRZ looks good. should we wait lol
|

STI version looks great
Heres the Toyota 86 TuRD version: It looks really mean. Sounds really plain-Jane though. One exhaust tip per cylinder on an n/a engine :ugh2: I'll be going with the regular BRZ I believe |
sti has bigger capacity brakes. ok.

So, this gets interesting. If they were to make a turbo STi version of the BR-Z, does the FR-S get the same treatment? We know STi's been around for a while for Subaru but TRD's been MIA for a while.
|
^^ No turbo for the BRZ STI -- from what I've read just a more powerful version of the flat 4.

lol I fixed your post at the same time you did Nice vid. The BRZ will rule in autocross I bet. They'll likely kick it up a class or two though from where you'd expect a 200hp car |
