Well, the Ford fan boys can't help but ignore that little tidbit. Just like the fact that the Z can outhandle a Mustang in the curves (aka the fun part). |
Quote:
|
outhandle? you cant even do a track lap without brakes overheating or oil overheating. How much money have you guys spent on supporting mods in order to match 5.0 Mustang performance?
once again ask any car enthusiast is he gonna spend $48,000 on a nissan nismo Z. No hes not. Only Z fan boys |

only member ever to be added to my ignore feature..........moving on:tup: good day all my fellow 370Z forum Brother's and Sister's......:hello: Life Is Good Now...........:iagree: |

either way you're still dumb. :gtfo2: |
My used touring that I bought for $24k with 25k miles is still a lot of fun today

Also, it's pretty easy to get the Z to perform like a mustang - add FI. Try making a mustang handle as well as the Z. That will take significantly more effort. |

its ok though, you guys enjoy your overprice niche car. It looks great (besides Montery Blue)thats about it. |
to each their own... that's why they make different types of everything in life... the new mustang looks ok... i like the looks of the camaro... to me, the z is sexy as hell... and my personal preference is a 2-seater... would love a corvette and my dream is a viper but they're currently out of my price range... don't hate... just love what you love
|
the z didnt even look like it was trying

[QUOTE=Kamzeelover;3010477]ya just add F1, lets pay $48,000 for a new Nismo and then $15-20,000 on turbo and supporting mods. You have yourself a $70,000 nissan Z basically. like i said ask any real car enthusiast are they gonna spend that kind of money on a nissan(non GTR). I higly doubt it, they are either gonna get a used Corvette, GT Stang, used porshe, used GTR. many better options than buying a Z and turboing it.
its ok though, you guys enjoy your overprice niche car. It looks great (besides Montery Blue)thats about it.[/QUOT I have about 45k into my car and would have no problem spanking a Vette, Stang, etc... There is such thing as a USED market you know? If you are looking for a mod friendly car that makes big power with little investment, then yes I agree the Z is not for you. /Thread. |
Alright... I gotta get something straight here, so let's recap what's going on with this thread.
Original post: a Mustang passes a Z (and a Chevy SS, which is trailing the Z) on a track. Z enthusiasts voice their opinions. Some of which are all like  and some of the others are all like :ugh2: and I'm all over here like :drama: look at that dumb mazda ad. Enter resident ELITE MEMBER FPenvy, who says the Mustang is gay. Much like the sky being blue and a bear ******** in the woods, a Mustang being considered gay on a Nissan Z forum surprises less onlookers than the end result of a demolition derby featuring a Ford Raptor versus a Smart car (resident Ford enthusiasts are busy walking off boners after my mentioning of a Raptor). Fearful of the image of his dear Mustang and Ford brand, BASE MEMBER Kamzeelover, hailing from Laguna Beach, Ca (home of that one MTV show that had a bunch of whiney bitches on it - and most of them drove *SURPRISE* Mustang convertibles. Nothing says "I GIVE UP ON MY OWN MASCULINITY" or "THEY WERE OUT OF BUICK LACROSSES AT HERTZ" like a Mustang convertible, but I digress). I am a base member, much like Kamzeelover (I'm still stuck on exactly what in the flying **** a kamzee is, much less how you love one), but unlike Kam (can I call you Kam?), I own a Z, and I know why. Kamzeelover is here to challenge FPenvy to the PRESTO ELITE MEMBER title by challenging his opinion regarding a car that no one on this forum owns (and those that do got rid of the pieces of **** and got into another Z, use the search button). First - Kam wishes to set the record straight. Quote:

There was also a part in this thread where a Corvette was brought into the equation. I have no idea why, as no one is driving a Chevy right now at all - they've all been recalled and are sitting at dealerships getting fixed. Quote:

Anyway, that was fun. Thanks for stopping in. When I'm ready to buy my next Z, I'm sure mine will have depreciated to your level of affordability, and I'll hit you up in the VW lounge with my Craigslist ad and make you a killer deal. Don't expect any crazy mods though - I wouldn't want to spoil all the fun for you. |

Ok I think I can chime in on this because I have both cars in my family I (2014 370Z Tour/Sport) and my brother's 2014 5.0 GT/CS
Power: Well we can't argue with that, the V8 takes it. I'm not going to point out the extra liters and 2 cylinders, let's just say the Mustang is more powerful. Handling: Stock, the Z takes it man...not even close. (We've autocrossed them both so I believe this is a credible assessment) Interior: I used to hate the mustang interior, but with the Premium Fastback the interior is actually quite nice. I would say comparable to my Z. The instrument panel though, that old school tach and speedometer is just not doing it for me. Looks: Well I gotta be honest, my brother and I were either going to get the Z or the 5.0. It was just a matter of who get's what first. And I was able to get my hands on the Z first, so he chose the 5.0. And I would've done the same if he got the Z first. I would say they are both nice cars with different talents and characteristics. But there's something about driving the Z compared to the 5.0 that makes me feel just a tad bit more special. I love the lines on the body of the Z, flared fenders, that fat ***...I'm an *** man so there you go! and to the TROLL...May I ask what do you drive? A true car enthusiast will not "hate" on another car but admire the differences that it offers. It's like saying you love animals but only likes dogs and cats but not birds and marine animals. |

If you turbo a 370z you are playing in a lot bigger sandbox than Stangs or Vettes, etc. You have entered exotic level of fast. |

lol at exotic level of fast, you cant even put the power down. The Z is not a drag car. you spend $70,000 -$80,000 total on your Twin Turbo Z maybe even more. when there are much better cars for the money. Quit being a fanboy even if you love the car. |

Oh and to get the Upgraded brakes, Bolstered seats, Torsen LSD, and 19" wheels...the 5.0 comes out to about $40k...So it's really not that much of a bargain from the fully loaded NON-Nismo Z
|
Answer the question man...what do you drive?
You said you used to drive a 350Z...and looking onto getting a used 370Z What do you currently have right now? |
i volunteered to ban myself guys. enjoy your Zzzzz's. Celebrate the troll is gone.

Are we sure he wasn't the new screen name of a well known, much hated troll who leased a base Z and complained about it nonstop? A lot of the way he phrased certain complaints sounded really familiar, and he was from the same part of CA if memory serves me right.
