1982 Camaro vs Mustang. Throwback review

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...89381419,d.aWw

its an independent leaf spring suspension. More advanced than mustangs live axle. there is a long single brace under the car that may look like a live axle but the leaf springs on the wheels move indepently.

IRS came later but they werent live axles after the C2 camaro.

Where does it say IRS? rear coil suspension doesn't mean IRS...I would take it from car guys that have had these cars it didn't have IRS in the 80's, or the 90's. 2010 was the first year for IRS.

Dude do you know what a IRS is? "C" cars like the C2, C3 you are talking about are Corvettes, they had IRS, the Camaro did NOT.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/98-99-00-01-...-/310347942193 That's a Solid axle...

you're right... leaf suspension is not technologically the IRS but its not as crude as live axle either. for all intents, it is an independent suspension though. But not as advanced as the 4 links and above IRS of today.

I stand corrected bro... the independent leaf suspension was up front and the camaro had the live axle in the back.

It was a coil up front...leaf in the rear, later went to a coil in the back ('82) and a Macpherson strut in the front, I believe '82 also.
