The car definitely handles better than the '15, I think the loss in weight is noticeable but it's still a giant car. The interior is surprisingly cramped though, it's not much bigger than the Z despite the mass amounts of sheet metal. Interior is definitely a step up from the last gen.. Still lots of cheap plastics but it looks and feels much better. I hated the climate controls....you turn the vent rings to control fan and temp. Doesn't feel natural and the temp display is tiny (but it also displays on the screen to make up for it). I've never liked the Camaro exterior and I think this looks worse. The squeezed headlights and taillights look tacky to me, especially since the car itself is still pretty big. Just looks out of proportion. Over all I think the mustang styling but preferred how the Camaro drove. Mash the two together and I'd consider getting myself a muscle car! |

Since this was a v6 model I expected some body roll but it was much better than the barge the previous gen was. The ride is firm but compliant and would he comfortable for long drives. The dash screen is also angled down which makes it look weird in my opinion, but it's a large screen and incorporates phone mirroring which is nice. The rimless rear view mirror is a nice touch but the stupid onstar buttons are incorporated into the bottom of the mirror so it's very easy to accidentally dial them while adjusting the mirror. I know because I made two 'emergrncy' calls by accident. Also the onstar buttons do not dim so having a bright blue light in your face at night is annoying. I didn't expect the camaro to topple an M4 in so many ways. It seems like now the Germans have gotten somewhat lackadaisical in there approach to performance cars. I understand there's pressure to be fuel efficient in Europe to levels not endured in the U.S. but AMG has seemed to overcome those obstacles rather well. BMW I believe has gotten comfortable because BMW buyers for the most part, will accept anything BMW puts out as the best in the game. No matter how flawed it's become. BMW is the most brand bias corporation, followed by Porsche. Loads of false pride in that market. These two companies can build a any **** mobile and put any price tag on it.... it will be honored and sell very well.
Then you have R&T and car & driver that will give some excuse for bimmer flaws. I laughed when R&T said, the q60 is no BMW. YEAH.... I agree. Something tells me it will be better in terms of price to performance. Maybe this review will be BMW's wake up call to take it back to the 80's. |

So Camaro mitigated front weight with carbon fiber and lightweight materials to keep the ZL-1 from being front heavy. I wonder how this version will do on a track? At about 3800lbs and 640hp,it should feel rather light on its feet considering TORQUE is also 640lbs tq. |

could be a pretty good track contender since the SS matches up on an M4 M4 - 3556/3644lbs MT/AT 430hp camaro v8 ss - 3685/3760lbs MT/AT 460hp the stats on paper are even as well. |
