Dont sweat it, once the terrain gets rough the new Z truck will zip right past that dumb Sports car called the Camaro. Four-wheel drive and knobby 36 inch tirez baby!! Not to mention seating for 5!! Eat that, Camaro!!!

But at the price of 2 SS's and one 4 banger.

A 4 second Camaro for $40,000
A 4.5 second SS sedan $45,000
A 3 second corvette for $80,000

This is probably the one thing that will help Nissan's case in keeping the Z in roughly the same place it has been - but if they want a true alternative, I'd be ok in a 370-ish type car that is a 2 + 2.

If you make the Z a tad more practical, you can attract some of the same segment that shops the pony cars - those that want the thrill of a fun drive that has some space to accommodate life.
