Recommendation for an SUV

German technology is getting outdated now, except for serious sports cars, the rest is....well, not great.

yea I guess it's on the decline. Still by far my favorite companies come out of there. Besides some Italian supercars I have no chance of owning. all my favoirte cars are german besides the Z, but given the opportunity would much rather have an M or P-car.

oh no doubt, they are very solid cars, pretty much all Japanese cars are. Overall I have just never been a fan of any besides the rx-7, supra, nsx, is, and actually infinity and nissan as a whole, always solid designs. But we digress lol we can continue convo in useless

back to SUV's.........

^ good call on the addition of the S. I think for the money this is one of the solidest (is that even a word?) SUV's. Plus they sound SICK!!! We still just need a ballpark price range to zero in on the one for your stepdad

Believe it or not FX50's starting price is higher than the SUV's I listed in the OP minus the GL. Anyways I am gonna go ahead and add that to the list. As for the Cayenne, my stepdad(including I) hate the interior.

Its not on your list, but I love our 07 Tahoe LTZ. We have had it two and a half years and 30000 miles and haven't had one problem with it, its fully loaded with every available option and was well under 50k. If I had to get another one, I would do it all over, except maybe get the hybrid this time.
