exactly the same setup on mine and same situation, stock studs had quite a bit of thread left even after the spacers were on the rear...one thing i noticed...the car handles almost like a go kart now...just needs that last little piece of the puzzle from Tanabe :D

kenchan 03-07-2014 09:20 PM

sounds awesome! yah, light weight wheels (especially the type c's are super light) i bet you are feeling a huge improvement in vehicle dynamics. :D

exactly...not only that, but i have die hard fans of the old versa hatchback over on the versa forum rethinking their viewpoint on the Note and quite a few of them are starting to like it more and more the more they see what can be done with it :D

guess that goes to show you that all it takes is one person to see potential in a certain platform to convince others of the same thing lol....im just waiting for that one last push from Tanabe and the car will be where i want it to be handling wise, but you never know...as they say, there's always room for improvement :)

thanks ken, wais is the one that convinced me to go with a darker wheel color as i was originally going to go for more of a brilliant silver look and i cant thank him enough for convincing me to go with darker wheels. the next thing on my agenda is getting the roof wrapped hopefully next month, but we'll see how things go with getting the car back into Tanabe :)

Waiz 03-08-2014 06:19 PM

Can't wait to see this later! SSR FTW! :D

cool. are you going for the glossy black roof then? :D

yep, the lowering will definitely finish off the look, i think.
i recommend swifts if they are going to make them for your car.

I emailed swift quite a few months back and talked to some people when they were out at the last Fontana meet but they just kinda brushed me off like I was a joke so that kinda turned me off on them.don't get me wrong they do make great springs but their customer service is lacking and as far as the roof wrap goes, definitely looking at going with black on the roof

At least you're still in the mix with Tanabe, you will have something soon enough!

very true lol...im glad at least Tanabe is paying attention to this car...who knows maybe getting some pictures published by Tanabe will get the other manufacturers to get their butts in gear and actually do something :D

really, that sucks. :shakes head: ive never dealt with the swift folks directly so dont know...but yah, i run swifts on my dd and they are good springs.

 @ glossy black roof.

which has been in mexico and has been building Nissan's for a lot longer than the plant that Honda just opened down there...fitment and quality so far after more than a year of ownership and over 18000 miles is excellent still :D

lol, didnt mean it to sound defensive..the way that a lot of people seem to be having quality issues with the new Fit's coming out of the mexico plant, i was just glad that my Note is holding together very well :)

ive not read about fits with problems from the mexico plant yet (nor do i care to), but yah, when people see mexico they suddenly think poor quality. which is true at times, but not all the time.

my wife's still wanting a small hatch after the 09 fit-sport i have so was thinking maybe get her a note next model year while getting more options for less money vs fit-sport.

kenchan 07-31-2014 11:52 AM

for me, after im done with my '12 fit-sport, im getting a new IS350.

Well she should have more trim level options at least when it comes to the 15 note as they are coming out with the sr trim which is at least kinda comparable to the fit sport, great choice on the is350 though

kenchan 07-31-2014 02:25 PM

i was looking at the SV with the SL + SL tech + floor mats. 19.5K

similarly equipped fit-sport EX-L is 21.6K.. this is the only trim that comes with nav and stuff, i think...

my wife hates leather seats... and hates spending 2K extra on 'same thing.' :D

wait for the 2015 model year as they are dropping that whole packaging scheme for the SL+ whatever option you want as well and are just going to call it plain SL trim. also, im sure she will be happy with the NAV unit in the Note, from the video's i've seen it seems to be very responsive and has alot of good features i'm sure she would find useful.

:icon18: don't worry, you wouldnt be the first one to think of that car when you read my thread title

Z_ealot 08-03-2014 02:54 AM

well, the Note is back from Tanabe and all i have to say is....totally freaking worth it, i cant even believe how much more flatly this car corners now with the chassis reinforcements and now a shiny brand new set of NF210 lowering springs! also got a nice shiny new medallion touring axle back exhaust which while sounding totally amazing, has also seemed to free up some more power according to the butt dyno :D wanna definitely thank the guys at Tanabe for hooking me up and also Wais, for pointing me in their direction when i had no idea they were even looking for a car like mine! pics will follow once i get some decent sunlight as it has been a pretty long day, but all in all, definitely worth it getting these parts out there on the market for this car :)
