craps, that was a pict link from edmunds when i looked at the note's picts. :D

GJ on getting the loaded version. it's funny to me cause ive not see a hand crank for windows for like 15yrs...and even the base fit does not have a non-power window option that i know of.

trust me dude, i've seen my fair share of hand crank windows even in newer cars...heck i had a 2006 chevy cobalt that had them at one time lol, of course i look at as one less electrical system to break down, but i'd rather have electric windows :D

kenchan 10-08-2013 04:10 PM

hahaha. :D less weight too, i suppose with no motor inside the doors.

suspension, exhaust and chassis is all they have listed so im thinking a yes on the axleback, but wouldn't mind a full catback lol...the chassis and suspension stiffening is what interests me the most though :happydance:

sounds good.

for these cars axleback is plenty imho. it's not going to net you much anyway, might even make dd harder due to lost back pressure with a full cbe.

:iagree: the way the exhaust is put together under my Note though it looks like its just one long pipe heading towards the back of the car after the catalytic converter so im not sure how they are planning to do an axleback exhaust unless im missing a secondary connection point along the exhaust leading out to the back. in any case any gain in power on this car is always a positive, but as i said before im mostly just interested in the handling upgrades :D

P.S.

another update....got called this last friday and was told that i wouldnt need to bring my Note in today, but that they would have to reschedule me. Talked to someone at Tanabe today and apparently they are a bit overwhelmed right now with the amount of cars coming in so i'll have to bring the Note in on this wednesday, a little bummed about that, but still happy that they are bringing something out for this car :)

Z_ealot 12-10-2013 04:25 PM

Update: R&D work at tanabe has been put on hold till March or April as there wasn't enough time for their guys from Japan to get the time in before they had to go back to Japan so stay tuned till then

Z_ealot 12-19-2013 12:36 AM

Another update folks and pics courtesy of wais' photography skillz, so i got a suprise call from Tanabe the day after they said they were going to have to hold off till march or april and they ended up being able to have enough time to do a few minor modifications to my Note :happydance: although sadly they weren't able to install the axleback exhaust and lowering springs, i still got a sweet strut tower bar and under body bracing out of the deal and i have to say i am one happy camper :D i still have to get a shot of the under body brace, but here are a couple of sweet shots that wais was able to get of the strut tower bar:

and as before stay tuned for more updates come march or april! :D

:iagree: the sides and rear are more what i was going after though, i found a website called auto-style usa that sells alot of the JDM parts for the Note including the Autech Rider window visors, but they want $250 for them not including freight charges. also found a front lip, but haven't heard of the company before. The lip i found is by a company called GARAGE VARY, alot more toned down then the one that'a part of the Bless creations kit and looks better IMO...come to think of it i found a pic of it right now lol:

Z_ealot 12-28-2013 12:03 PM

Same company as previous pics from GARAGE VARY, found out they also sell an add-on type spoiler that kinda adds an extension to the stock factory spoiler...actually pretty nice:

same thing i thought, i figured i'd make it a blend of subtle and agressive by having the VARY front lip and spoiler extension and then go with the Bless Creations side sills, rear fascia and grille insert replacement to give it a little pinache...that is if they ever bring them over stateside  lol

kenchan 12-28-2013 01:05 PM

yah, looks like too much cluttered crap on there. i would do the lowering, the wheels look nice on that post #55, then do a simple lip/splitter and call it a day.

exactly what i was thinking, give it more of a clean look up front and then finish off the windows with Autech visors...just cant believe how expensive they are though for the visors...$450 for the autech visors without freight charges

Good plan!

Drop/wheels/tint will make a big difference. That spoiler extension looks cool too

Sounds like the Mugen spoilers for the Fit, $200 vs OEM
for $50

damn, didnt know the mugen visors were that much...oh and i was off on the price, i must have been remembering something else. Just looked up the price for the Autech visors and they go for $260 with a $100 freight charge straight from japan...not to bad, but still kinda pricey. i do agree though the combination of tint/wheels/drop will make this car look a whole lot better than stock :)

The problem for you is that since the model is so new your are going to end up paying more for your parts since everything for it is also so new.

I will say that now that I have been using the visors for over 6 months they come in really really handy with keeping the sun out of my face. I would completely be willing to pay $200 for them if I had to considering how useful I think they are

believe me im right there with you wais, i've already had quite a few instances where the visors would have come in handy, especially around dawn or sunset when looking for cross traffic just driving around town. dont get me wrong i love the visibility that these hatchbacks offer, it just kinda annoys me having the sun in my eyes lol. im gonna try and get the tint and visors done before it goes back into Tanabe though in march or april

Z_ealot 03-05-2014 07:23 PM

thanks guys, and as wais already know i also have wheel spacers on order for the rear that should be here at the beginning of next week to make them a little more even with the fender of the car and then this weekend have to take her in to get a minor tint problem taken care of on the passenger side front window, after that it's a few more weeks of waiting till Tanabe's spring test sessions comes up to get the rest of the work done on her. also probably gonna end up ordering some caps for the rims within the next month to avoid any issues with debris getting caught in the front wheel hubs, but im kinda on the fence about it as i like the look of them with the caps off, but we'll see :) also forgot to mention have to have the driver side rear window tint replaced as when i was transporting the SSR's back to my house one of them fell over and scratched the tint on that side although you cant really tell from the outside :( as always stay tuned for upcoming mods :D

kenchan 03-05-2014 09:31 PM

i had the silver type-c's on my previous cars and they looked better to me without center caps. :D

capless it is then lol :D still cant wait to get a drop on this car...even with 17's as you can tell by the pics there is still a huge wheel gap :shakes head:

Waiz 03-06-2014 02:05 AM

Don't worry about not running them in the front, nothing will happen with any debris. I just think since you can't run them in the rear anyway you might as well not run them in the front

Z_ealot 03-07-2014 08:56 PM

minor update: wheel spacers showed up earlier than expected and were quickly installed today, stay tuned for pics once i get better lighting...to late to take pics right now with the sun already being down....cant wait for more daylight hours after this weekend :D
