But personally wearing only an owners hat for a second... I would never let the even the most proven shop touch mine as I have no interest in the making the car more than what it is. The GTR community has become so aftermarket obsessed the last few years with a mentality that it has to be a 8 sec straightline car or its not a real GTR. I know a lot of this comes from the previous cars being such a tuner beast and there is a segment that buys these new cars that comes from that same thinking but for me when I see the video of the Takumi assembling the engine and just knowing the original idea the engineers had for the car I just respect it the way it is.

You dont see LFA owners running out and doing all this to their cars. I know its not apples to apples as the GTR is a more "mass" produced car but you get what im saying...still I just feel that when you get these 1K HP cars is not about the car can do anymore its the tuner. The GTR more and more is becoming some highway pull car or straightline car and thats just not what it was meant to be.

Agreed. It's already amazing out of the box. No need to mess with it.

Same with the Z - just did exhaust and that's really it. The GTR may not even need that much.
