That or he just turned the headlights off (or the car did, on Auto). That's the only thing that would have turned them back on.

It was night time bruh. His headlights were on. DRL's were off at first.

Maybe DRL's come on at night on auto mode but headlights on/ DRL off only on (ON) mode? Or it was modded to work that way?

Well, all I know is the DRLs come on once you start moving (actually, when you disengage the parking brake). They stay on until the headlights come on, then they switch off. There is no (stock) DRL control.

Based on what you said, he probably just turned his headlights off so he could flash his DRLs at you.

Could be? I know my wife noticed them go on first. But i know they were off when he pulled up. I noticed his was a 2013 automatically due to the nice base wheels. Let me add, he was GM, just like me. lol
