Gauge placement is incredibly stupid though. The Z has it right with the three pods within line of sight. The Camaro tucks them under the dash in the center console.... Wat :icon14:

:iagree: Quality of materials is fine. Ergonomics has issues. But if some never been in one after 2011? Then they are giving highly limited information. The gauges on the bottom is ergo-horrid but identical to the 68 camaro. So it's done more for nostalgia.

I like the Camaro interior better than my 2010 370z nismo.
nismo had cloth seats. 2SS has leather seats.
cloth seats in a $40k car.

While some people say the Camaro interior looks cheap (probably true compared to other 370z models), to me it looks better than the Nismo's :)

I really dislike the Nav screen on the 2013 model. Looks like an afterthought.

Hey, at least you can order a Nav with it and it doesn't cost $2k :)

the Hurst short shifter is much better than the 370z's shifter though.
Some people here would complain about how difficult it is to drive a manual 370z smoothly.

They would have no problem in the Camaro.

That picture doesn't even look real. Looks like some kind of photoshop nightmare.

frost 03-23-2013 02:43 PM

That nav looks terribly awkward. Looks like someone bought a nav at best buy and retrofitted it in.

I'll agree there. The Camaro wasn't supposed to have nav because of the On-star. You can get turn by turn through it. But having a unit in the car is so popular they decided to go with it. People rather have the visual aid. (Understandable). So to appease the general public, they added one. It does kind of look like an afterthought. But Chevy's new MyLink is one of the best link systems out there. More advanced than Ford and dodge chrysler's system. It's only $800, which is $1200 less than us.

I personally feel all that techy garbage belongs in SUV's, not sports cars. But hey, to each his own.

m4a1mustang 03-23-2013 05:07 PM

I like all that tech in sports cars because I like to DD sports cars. :)

my DD has no built in Nav -- I use Garmin.
but my weekend cars both have factory Nav.
I thought I would buy a Mustang before Chevy put Nav into the Camaro.

It was tough to find a Camaro with Nav
and I had to place an order for a WRX to get Nav in the car color that I like.
that takes 16 weeks :-O but my dealer told me, it's on its way to the US.

hehe. I don't pay much attention on how it looks to tell you the truth. the fact that it's there is a plus for me in time when I have to go somewhere where i have never been before. The selling point of a muscle car is the engine and how it sounds and this car has a pretty good engine/sound. The fact that its Nav doesn't look pretty doesn't deter muscle car lovers like me :)

it's kinda like a good looking woman going in for plastic surgery. Either she will come out looking better or worse :-)

Good looking women going in for plastic surgery never come out looking better. You're thinking of ugly chicks.

Hmm I like it. Front looks more sporty, less blunt.

lemon-fresh 03-26-2013 01:21 PM

Seems like a move in the right direction.

mick 03-26-2013 02:24 PM

what a relief. i just bought mine about one month ago and i was fearful that the new design would outdate the 2010-2013 design. i prefer the original design over the new one. the bigger grill makes it look more muscular.

shadoquad 03-26-2013 06:34 PM

psh, a facelift but no led strips? HA, this is why NISSAN WILL RULE YOU

I think the front got better.... Rear got worse. Wheels are meh. Hood looks great. It is mostly an improvement. Let down in the rear.

m4a1mustang 03-27-2013 12:21 PM

The Z/28 is so much sex. A little lighter, but 500hp and carbon brakes. Optional A/C. Pure track rat. I bet it won't be cheap.

The Camaro Z/28 Is Back

ahhh. beat me to it... i think it looks awesome bruh.

UNKNOWN_370 03-27-2013 01:05 PM

500 naturally aspriated horses and 3800 lbs. I think this car will be the most nimble feeling of the bunch. Not going to say it will feel like a total lightweight. But I'm expecting even more rave reviews in terms of handling.

Price anyone???

m4a1mustang 03-27-2013 01:21 PM

Should be under 3,800lbs. Any weight reduction helps. I'm sure it will be a killer track car.

This is how I'm thinking though... The ZL1, 1LE and now the Z/28 are taking this boat of a car to handling and performance directions never thought of before for this bloated platform. I mean talking about making lemonade out of lemons. They took this fat pig of a car and made it a fvcking track star. If you look at it fom that perspective. The camaro is amazing.

Now if they take everything they been doing since the ZL-1 and put it in the Alpha??? 3300lbs??? Daaaammnnn. Like everyone is totally sleeping on next gen GM. They're outta control and not many have put the pieces together yet. This is only the beginning for camaro. If there recent numbers are impressive now? Wait for the Alfa platform.

A few turbo options are coming for GM too. They are playing in grounds that american cars just havent been successful in and are winning. Drive the ATS 2.0T, you'll know what i mean. I'm just totally impressed with GM. Call me a minority. lol :happydance:

m4a1mustang 03-27-2013 01:35 PM

I think they are doing a good job. An ATS-based Camaro will probably be a pretty sweet performer.

Rememberr the Grand National and T/A GTA??? Next gen will bring that type of sleeper performance, guaranteed.

Camaro seats were already super-comfy but Recaro's should aid the driving experience.
Mojave trim didn't last long in the camaro.
Glad to see the base models will have rims instead of those black pos's they called wheels.
Driver info center needed a serious update.
Sad to see inferno orange gone.

No mention if the 1LE package stays or goes?????
