those people who say the Camaro is too big, well I like its big car ride. Very comfortable. I feel i can drive 4 hrs straight without any trouble. If they made it smaller, maybe its performance and handling would improve but it probably it would lose its big car ride.

the 370z isn't exactly small either, didn't nissan say the next Z would be smaller?

What's your definition of "small"? The Z is physically small for a car built in this generation. It's within 3mm of the FRS/BRZ twins, shorter than the the 350, 300ZX (Z31/Z32), and S13 240SX... It's shorter in length than the Cayman S too. The Z is small. The Camaro is a large car from any measurement. If people wanted Cadillac ride quality in a sports car, Chevy wouldn't have tightened things up for model year 2012 and switch to a smaller frame for the next generation. The Chevrolet SS can do that and the Camaro SS can focus on being a damn good performance car.

I test drove a V6 Camaro before I bought my Z and I thought the ride was much rougher than my Z.

not sure how that happened. the ride on mine feels like that of a big car. It doesn't feel like a sports car until 3500 rpm when the dual mode performance exhaust kicks it. the car reviews on youtube all say the same about the ride quality.

this mini-z here is small :)

This is refresh #2. First in 2012 was a higher quality interior than the 2010-2011 models. The first two model years had hard plastics with no shapes. Now there's shapes and softer touch materials. The performance models get lathered in Alcantara... The gauge area is love it or hate it. I'm indifferent to the gauges. They don't suck but Z gauges look 1,000 times better.

Now the resfresh is external. That said, they've given the V6 a better LFA engine, gave the v8 a better tune. Added two more aggressive models. (SS1LE and ZL1) Have had companies like Hennessey and callaway show a lot of love to the camaro. They're doing big things that way. :tup:

the z is smaller, very easy to maneuver forward or in reverse. The large, ugly mirrors are fantastic for helping one maneuver.

The Camaro is huge in comparison, and you can barely see what's around you.

That said, I really like the Camaro. I just like the Z better. Opinions are going to vary.

It must've been broken?? The Camaro's ride is firm yet supple. If you're into sporty but comfortable driving the camaro wins hands down. If you're into cars that have the perfect suspension for high speed cornering. It's the Z hands down. Z suspension is very comfy for its performance. But not camaro comfy. i've rented several. :tup:

:iagree:

Z=167 inches
Camaro= 190 inches
Z is approx 2 feet shorter. Huge difference.

It's much more visible than the 370 after getting used to them both

I have no problems seeing in the z. Mirrors properly positioned, I can see most of what's happening around me.
In the bulky Camaro, I could not see around that rear 3/4 as well, and that's an enormous area. Now, you have the advantage of having one around to fiddle with, but I feel safer in the Z than the chevy, as far as sight lines, and my Sti beats em both.

maybe the outward visibility of the regular 370z is better than the camaro.
I had the Nismo and the rear wing covered up half of the window. Whenever I changed lane, I had to check twice. In the rain, maybe three times :)

The first day when I got the Camaro, it seemed so big and hard to maneuver. Two weeks later, it didn't feel so big anymore.

For me, I like the look of the 370z better but the Camaro V8 produces better sound during acceleration.

Yeah, non-nismo

And I'll never argue against the sound of an LS engine :yum:

oh yeah.
When I had the Nismo, I always feared of damaging the front spoiler (when parking) so I was super careful and it never got damaged

As you know, on the Nismo, If you moved up a little too far and hit the parking stopper, you are going to be so sorry.

I kinda counted that against the Nismo's outward visibility too -- maybe I shouldn't have :)

I find visibilty about equal but the Z being smaller compensates for the limited visibilty. That said. I still don't have any problems driving the camaro. But the Z overall is a more confident driving car.
