Also, you'd think removing self incriminating videos of yourself speeding would be the first thing to come down when you're quoting laws and posting a "crash" video as evidence.

one of his other videos.... he's going about 80-87mph.

I can guarantee noone here has tried to ride in Las Vegas. I would consider it more dangerous than deployment. It's the true melting pot of crap drivers. Bikers here ride very cautiously. when in thick traffic like this or on freeways during rush hour. Noone cares to check their mirrors, turn their head, listen for other vehicles, and ride so close to the bump in front of them, you can see what radio station they are listening to. I side with the biker. I didn't do anything wrong. He doesn't have to be "in" traffic as the Officer claims. cop cars out here don't change lanes with their turn signals, don't keep their distance and flip their lights to cross red lights. I have no doubt that cop was far too close to the bike and used a bully tactic, he is using his power and authority to intimidate the biker. The other videos have no argument to what is being presented. Other comments of riders also have no argument because it was not part of this video. Facts are facts, everything else is invalid.

Haboob 03-04-2013 02:53 PM

Yeah. I can't stand bikes that split lanes (illegal here in AZ)... so I just merge to the line when I see them coming by.

Then they yell at me like I did something wrong - nope, I'm in my lane *******. You have to wait in traffic like the rest of us.

But back on topic - it is pretty stupid to have those kind of vid's up then claim your some sort of law abiding citizen and play victim in the latest vid. Granted the officer was in the wrong, but his reputation isn't that great.

Sounds like Texas.

UNKNOWN_370 03-04-2013 04:22 PM

He might be guilty in 20 vids... But the cop one, he's innocent. Facts are facts. No one goes to court and says you are innocent of your charges but we know you've done illegal stuff that doesn't hold up in this court, so you're guilty anyway (unless you're OJ Simpson, lol)

If it's like that? Then we need to change the topic to the thread. "Finding dirt on a douche victim". lol Our system is abusive because many of us subscribe to fascist style judgement's and we don't even realize it.

That said... I'm outta this one... I can see where its goin.

Lol you just pointed this thread there to watch it explode, didnt you? :bowrofl:

Wait so what about the damage to his bike? How do they just part ways like that after someone is at fault?? That's probably a hard case when a police car hits you.

The videos you posted may not be the same rider, I don't see any Puig windshield in the police video.

He refers to himself in the first person in multiple video descriptions under that user name, including the cop one. If I'm mistaken, I'll gladly apologize. It's the same bike...helmet is just blocking view of the windshield. You can kind of catch it around 35 seconds in & 2:33.

zguynate 03-04-2013 07:09 PM

The cop is definitely in the wrong on this one. Trust me I try to side with the cops, but this time the officer is wrong. There are policies in place when an officer gets into an accident and I'm pretty sure this officer did not follow it. Not to mention the officers reaction to the situation is unacceptable. The first thing he should have said is "are you ok?".

lol1234 03-04-2013 07:50 PM

Was expecting much worse but I have never been on a bike. Can someone explain why he stopped so abruptly? I get the white car is trying to merge but I thought he would have just kept a slower pace.

He seems to be doing a pretty good job of splitting lanes there. Nothing out of the ordinary or unsafe about that vid.

What's wrong with splitting lanes, other than it being illegal? Does it make you jealous, scared, envious, or does it actually somehow ruin your day? You should realize that splitting lanes is perfectly safe so long as we don't have people intentionally trying to hit us. It causes absolutely no inconvenience to cars and it won't make a person in a car take longer to get to where they are going. Splitting lanes also improves traffic congestion. But, I guess it makes you feel like a big man to try and either end a person's life or physically debilitate them for life just to prove a point or get some kind of personal victory or satisfaction. I've had my fair share of people like you and if I ever actually do go down because of it, then it's likely my GoPro can help get the driver vehicular manslaughter or attempted murder charges.

He probably stopped so abruptly because he thought he was in the white car's blind spot and wasn't sure if the car was going to cut him off. At that point it is better to slow down, though perhaps not so abruptly, than to speed up because he had nowhere to go ahead since it's not legal to split in Nevada. It has happened to me many times where a cop will get on my *** to most likely get my plates just in case I try to run if he tries to stop me for any reason. That's my guess as to what the cop was doing in that video and that's also a perfect example of why splitting should be legal everywhere because the bike woulda been in front of all the cars at the stop light and that situation never would have happened.

i will agree with you that splitting lanes is safest for a biker, but the sad fact is here in southern california and especially orange county most sport bike riders act like asshats on the freeway and cant lane split properly for their life not to mention half the time they are doing almost double the speed limit. i can not tell you how many times i've been nearly hit while staying in my own lane minding my own business by these guys on their sport bikes and then to top it off when i pull up to a red light and it turns green they haul off like a bat out of hell when no one is trying to race them. sticking on topic though that cop was definitely in the wrong on this one.

Wouldn't ever happen here. You'd be cited for failure to stay within your lane/reckless driving. Me? I never left my lane. I wouldn't be at fault.

Have a nice day! :tiphat:

Maybe it is jealousy, sure, why should they get to (illegally) go ahead of everyone else who has to wait? Quit being a douche bag and wait your turn - bikers are like the handicapped people at amusement parks, they think they should get to go ahead of everyone who's waited in line for an hour.

Bikers talk like they want respect, but then all they do is stupid **** like this. I have zero respect for them. You want to share the road? Then ride proper, otherwise I'll always win the battle in bike vs. car.

And as always, there are exceptions. There are some proper riders out there, but it's the bad ones that give the rest a bad name.
