IMHO the Nismo badge should only be on the GT-R, 370Z, and a crazy offroad version of the Titan.

I agree, I don't think it should be applied to the Joke or anything else really... Maybe if they made the Joke really bitchin LIKE the GTR engined one (but at a more realistic price, then sure)

The first new Nissan road car to get the Nismo treatment, the Juke Nismo, is already on sale in Europe and Japan and launches in the U.S. in the second quarter of this year. A new version of the 370Z Nismo for European markets is the next Nismo road car, which made its world debut earlier this month and builds on the platform of Nissan's most popular and accessible sports car. Nissan is promising a rapid pace of introduction of even more Nismo models, at least one model every year during the Nissan Power88 period, encompassing the breadth of the Nissan road car range. This will include the flagship of Nissan's performance and technology, the GT-R. "It would be unthinkable for us to develop a range of Nismo road cars without including the GT-R," said Mr. Ghosn. "The standard road car is a global supercar and the GT-R's performance on track reflects the passion and talents of the Nismo team. The GT-R Nismo will be special and I can't wait to drive it." New home for NISMO Nissan has invested in an entirely new facility for Nismo's operations, redeveloping a former production site to give it the resources for expanding beyond motorsport engineering and expert involvement in NISMO road cars Nissan will be developing. The new headquarters facility allows the Nismo team to be co-located in one place, bringing together the functional areas for Nismo's key activities and technical and competition expertise under one roof. The 180-strong team is now located inside Nissan's Powertrain Engineering complex. The workshop, engine shop, rooms for fabrication, grinding and carbon composite processes are consolidated into the same floor space along with the parts warehouse. A new larger showroom allows up to eight vehicles to be displayed, while the retail area is now almost twice the size of the previous store in the Omori factory. "This is a great move for Nismo as we can now shift gears to operate more efficiently and expand the brand globally," explained Nismo President, Shoichi Miyatani. Almost forgot they also said they'll have a zero emissions race car running at the 24h of Le Mans in 2014 as the garage 56 entry (same class the delta wing ran in). :ugh2:

Over all just disappointed with the announcement. With all the hype they gave it I really thought something big was happening. cough cough...track ready (not race ready) versions of the GT-R and Z. ie. oil coolers, proper brakes, suspension mods etc. Basically an off the show room floor version of some of our track guys cars.

I really didn't think they'd announce a fuckíng thing... So I didn't get my hopes up

well i know they wouldnt say in detail about the GTR as i knew it was going to be based on the refreshed car that debuts later this fall. Until then I dont expect much other than yes it exists

Were just gonna have to see. because they did say Nismo cars will get a 10% power bump. Plus they will make RS versions too. we will see

If they want Nismo's to sell as a premium over a standard car, especially a sports car, it needs to be measurably better. With the Z, 18bhp is laughable when it's 100lbs heavier than a base one. Tires and suspension need to be better too. It can only make par with a SP model on braking, cornering and acceleration. Even the figure 8 times or slalom aren't any better. A base sport Z is the poor mans Nismo because it gives 95% of what the Nismo does for $6,000 less. Make it worth it's premium.

I don't mind other sporting or offroad vehicles in the Nismo lineup, but the Nismo Juke is abysmal. 10hp bump and the AWD still has a CVT... Give it 40 more and a 6mt.

I was thinking maybe getting a Nismo Quest. :roflpuke2:
