Suspension is always a compromise. Like the reviewer said, they believe it'd be quicker on a race track, but on their test slalom it was not because of... compromise.

The real shame should be on Nissan, though. If they had given the Nismo proper brakes and an oil cooler (it is supposed to be the "track" model right?) it would have been able to make laps without issue.

Nissan never called it an out of the box track car. They called it a track inspired car. Politics brother... But that's history now.
The Nismo has brake cooling hoses and upgraded/updated tech, base pads and an optional pair that rock. There's an oil cooler now that helps somewhat decently. But before i got my cooler. I was able to drop my temps 12 degrees with premium oil. 12 degrees is still enough drop to save me from limp mode under crucial situations.
I think the pads having to be changed was on C&D. You can tell driving off the lot that Z pads aren't really good for the track.

You'd just think they'd have given it the goods. Especially at its price.

You know the sport package is not 35k anymore right? Even if you got a good deal they are trying to charge 38k at all dealers.. And like you said that's almost 40k when all said and done. Way to much

m4a1mustang 05-08-2013 02:16 PM

I just bought one for less than $35k.

It's a bit of a stretch given what you get, but it's the car I wanted so whatever. #YOLO

34-35 is a great package, but that's not what they are charging your average joe.

Also I had to spend 1200 just to get a proper exhaust note, 400 on swift springs to make the car feel planted and stiffer. I spent 1200 on pss tires just to prevent massive oversteer. I spent 500 to change head unit and speakers that blew the day after I drove home with car.

1) Average Joe needs to do more research. They should pay invoice or better.

2) Everyone buys exhaust.

3) Personal preference

4) Massive oversteer? This is a front heavy car that likes to plow when pushed hard on corner entry. Must be doing something wrong?

5. Most everyone that gets a base car does it with the intent of upgrading the stereo. :icon17:

Average Joe doesn't modify a leased car...

There is one exception. When the temp is below 60F ambient it takes a few miles to get the tires warmed up enough to stick, in that window the car is an oversteering hell beast (in a fun way). Below 40F it is tough to get the tires warm at all.

That's true. I didn't even consider that because I figure this is something most people should know. :driving:

All these mods can be sold once i go back to stock and get out of this heavy pig

Next gen z needs to be lighter and leaner, I knew I wouldn't want this fat pig more than 3 years.

I can attest that it does feel heavy, especially coming from the S2K... it's like a boat. However... you knew this all along. Why'd you sign the contract?

IMO, if you impulse buy/lease there is really no room to complain. You've got to :dealwithit: like a man. Or use LeaseTrader.
