Granted she probably doesnt drive it hard, but its held up fairly well. I will admit that the interior quality is sub par, and it could use some refining compared to the Z, but its a damn good job for Hyundai's first attempt at the RWD sports car. Especially since we got the R-Spec model for a little north of 25k. Not to mention I have received way more attention driving her car than either my 350z or 370z.

Way more attention that your 370z??? Holy shat

What they really need IMO is a new brand image. They need to come out with their own high end/luxury brand to separate those cars from the Hyundai name. Just like Nissan has Infiniti, Honda has Acura, and Toyota has Lexus. That's the only way people will stop looking at them as "Hyundais". They're already trying to hide the fact that all their higher end cars are Hyundais. None of them have a Hyundai badge.

Excellent point

Probably didn't help them out that they were falsifying their MPG numbers either :eekdance:

I have to admit, the Veloster is a really cool little car but BMW/Audi/MB level, no way!

Wanna know how I got these scars? My father, was a drinker...and a fiend. And one night, he goes off craaaazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen to defend herself. He doesnt like that. Not...one...bit. So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it. He turns to me, and he says, "Why so serious?". Comes at me with the knife, "Why so serious?!". Sticks the blade in my mouth, "Let's put a smile on that face".

Infiniti 10 years ago was still well behind the rest of the marquee brands and look how much progress they have made since that time

The question is... Will infiniti keep building drivers cars or will they stagnate, like Mercedes did through the late 90's early 2000's. This new Altima and Sentra weren't very promising as FWD entries. Especially after Nissan being exposed to the New Sonata/optima, the new malibu, etc. The upcoming Versa hatch doesn't look like it will get any closer to competing against the Ford fiesta/Mazda2/chevy sonic (which should be its goal). Will we see a Sentra SE-R SpecV???
The body lines of the Camo G(Qsedan) look pretty much like an upscale version of the 13 Altima.
While I can tell the american market is going to improve on current patforms. It's questionable if the asian market will keep striving. At least hyundai at minimum has claimed a competitor. We in the z forum don't know if our next Z will be a Porsche Fighter or an upscale BRZ(disappointment if so?)

With Nissan being overly quiet in the most competitive time of the season... (the 2015 automobile marketing pre-emptive strike season) And Nissan 2013's being kinda lame (Z included) It's one of those things that make me look at car companies that are aggressive in making improvements.

Hyundai went from 306hp to 348 on the V6 and 220hp to 274 on the i4 turbo in 3 years. We got softer suspension and brake ducts on the nismo. Ok the Z is still the better car, but it shows a lack of wanting to strive for better. It's like japan is losing the competitive edge to lead in the sports car arena????? Is this true? I don't know. But there's not a small inkling of something impressive coming from Nissan thus far.

One of the biggest hurdles for Nissan/Infiniti is going to be able to meet the CAFE standards for the future.

Given the lackluster sales of the 370z I don't see them giving much of a focus on the next model. It will undoubtedly be an evolution of the 370z if they even decide to bring another model at all.

Everything that we're hearing from Infiniti is that they are looking to take the brand global so I don't see them slowing down at all but performance models is probably not their focus going forward

Actually it seems like Infiniti really wants to push their IPL line to higher levels of performance. They would like it to compete with AMG and BMW's M series.

This was where I was getting my assumption, it's an older article but pretty spot on for what we've seen so far:

Ever. I don't care how much performance it's bringing lol

Comments like this remind me how much the current crop of import lovers are exactly like the old, closed-minded domestic enthusiasts.

Refusing to buy a good car because of the brand is something for soccer moms, not enthusiasts.

I deficate you not good sir. Every time I drive it people stare. I always get, "what kind of car is that!?" and "you must have a really good job!". I'm thinking that people think its much more expensive than it really is. Even some of my co-workers think my fiance is rich because she has it lol. I have gotten more love in the 370 than in the 350, but the Genesis still trumps the 370 in attention received :(

You drive a Nissan. You realize at one point Datsun was considered a joke brand, right?
