Although I'd buy used, something with low mileage where they other party already paid for the depreciation. I've seen them with less than 20,000 miles for under 35K. New, they are almost double that. The Z was my choice because of my longer drives now days, however, I'm still looking at the Cayman S some day; Just hate the cost of anything for it..... I'd do some research on it before you buy. Look at the cost of an oil change; as some Porshes are Oil cooled, meaning they take an entire case of oil. Price a case of full synthetic etc etc...
Um, no Porsche has been oil cooled since the 993. Every Boxster/Cayman is water cooled (986/987 gen cars, now 981 with new Boxster). heir sumps are large regardless. 8qt of M1 0-40 European is the factory fill and what dealers use.

Spec is 12-24K OCIs though most owners do it once a year. Dealer bend over pricing is typically 170-200 for an oil change.

I'm not here saying a Porsche is cheap. Its no Honda. But when folks comment that its so expensive but then really have not done any research and are obviously uninformed...its kind of silly.

There are things that infuriate me with local dealer pricing, but there are easy ways to work around that. its not like people think Nissan dealers, as a whole, are fantastic places to service their cars either right?
