I'm sure the BRZ platform could be an easy candidate for an STi swap, although it does bring about the problem of emissions testing. Lightweight, plenty of space in the engine bay, and updated styling really lends an air of fresh, modern design.

Also, I'm sure someone is just gonna swap out the entire interior or something... the inside of the BRZ/FRS (FRS especially) reminded me of the interior of the 350Z... made the price tag seem too high for such an unrefined, cheap, almost thrown-together interior.

I wouldn't say it looks "thrown together." Cheap and unrefined, sure. But it's a sports car, not a family car. And certainly not luxury.

There's been several engine swaps that have already been done. At least 2 V8 swaps, and I'm pretty sure someone did an STi swap already too.

I would agree to this exactly. It's not gonna wow you with the plastic materials, and the car is unrefined, but it looks decently sorted in there.

I could see engine swaps in that thing. Its engine bay is refreshingly large for a modern car. Even if no swap was done, working on one would be fun.

I'm so envious of everyone with FR-S's around in their cities already. I've yet to see one in real life.

I don't think reviewers are referring to the grip when they praise the FR-S on its handling. Grip isn't that good on it since it has thin tires and harder rubber. This makes it a lot more forgiving to drive at the limit though. Reminds me of one video where some guy fitted an AMG car with donuts on all four corners which made it a breeze to drive at the limits instead of snapping out when you pass them, like our Z's tend to do.

I'd like to add that the only angle I don't like on the car is the rear. Like Unknown said, it looks unfinished to me. Might be because of the angular fog light area?
