12' Civic SI or 12' Mazda speed 3

Actually pretty good offers torn what to get...

12' civic SI comes with clear bra, navigation, heated leather seats and premium sound.

12' mazda speed 3 comes with push to start navigation, bi xenon headlights.

Lookin what will be upgrade better overall car than my 06 SI...

TerribleONE 04-11-2012 02:50 PM

http://www.the370z.com/introduction/...r-see-vid.html see this thread..

then go buy a MS3

But in all seriousness, my friends MS3 is really nice and will make me smile everytime I drive it... definitely a lot of car for the money. The interior seemed fairly nice for the price and all the room is awesome as well. Also he has NEVER been given trouble by the cops... just my :twocents:

No worries, just thought maybe the time/$ was right. How about the new FR-S/BRZ? Taken a glance at either of those... would be a good fun reliable car...

Kind of grows on you. The Honda they put customs leather seats in it which looks nice touch screen navi which is really cool.

But the Mazda is quicker, better handling more room, and better the options hopeully reliable?

mazda speed 3 is not a rotary, and regarding civic Si I would say no because then you will fall under the Dr. Troll (rapist) category of cars. I personally wouldn't want those stereotypes.

Civic SI or ms3

AchilleZ 04-11-2012 05:50 PM

If the MS3 does not have the rotary engine, then yes I would take it over the si

I would get the SI, it's a cool nice looking fun little car.. And there are tons of parts out for it in the after market.

PW370z 04-12-2012 02:36 AM

TURBO

Red370 04-12-2012 07:20 AM

for future upgradeability and best bang for the buck, the MS3 will win every time.

'10Anamoly 04-12-2012 07:58 AM

I used to have a MS3. Do not buy it if you plan on modding much beyond a catback. The motors have really bad PCV systems, weak journal bearing turbos and they tend to spark knock a lot. The High Pressure Fuel Pumps are known to lose PSI quickly if boost is raised and can run the motor dangerously lean. I knew six people with aftermarket turbo setups on their cars, all professionally installed/tuned and every single one of them blew their motors due to issues with PVC and crankcase pressure and one guy who didnt upgrade the HPFP.

Safe bet if you get one is to keep the mods minimal, do upgrade the HPFP with the CPE one ($1000!) and upgrade the intercooler if you want to avoid spark knock.

If you leave it stock and get a nice extended warranty, its a fun car for sure. The 08-09's are faster though!
