Keep calm and carry on. Do some more research. Test drive. Decide.

However,I still feel if those are the only two things you're most concerned with Honda would be a safe choice. |
I have been! People love their ms3 and civic....

I know it's not a fair assesment, but if the build quality on the MS3 was anything like my RX-8, I would re-think it. The rotary engine was finicky to begin with though, and either car is plenty reliable if you don't go crazy with the mods. That's what warranties are for. Get an extented if you need the piece of mind and limit you're mods to a CBE, intake, etc.

What's your recommendation

MS3 over Civic.
But I'd take a Mini Cooper S over either. |

Ok here's my 2¢. I had a 2001 Civic EX, loved it. It's a comfy car, not super expensive, and is very reliable. Gets great mileage.
My wife has a 2004 Civic EX, and she likes it. It's got over 100,000 miles on it and aside from a window motor going out, we have never had a problem with it. If you want an inexpensive, reliable car that you're not going to mod much or try to race, the Civic is a great choice. If you care about sportier performance, get the MS3. A friend of mine has it and he loves it. |
